Biography

2004 – 2011

Live and studio: Peter Hasler’s Monk Revival (Jazz), Peter Hasler's Kitchen (Drumming, Solo), Nanalee Vaonger (HipHop), Gogoll (Fusion Drumming), pH-neutral (Electro-Drumming & Percussion with DJs), Fabi Ann (Rock) and more.

Recordings and releases of two solo drumming cds Drum Pictures and Stories (2010, Jazzlabel altrisuoni) and Drums Music (2007, own label Supermouse Productions). Presentation/workshop on acoustic and electronic drums in Zurich in co-operation with the music instrument store Central Music. Further education on drums, congas, bongos, djembe, cajon, udu, talking drum, brasilian- and small percussion.

Release of the second drum teaching book Das komplette Schlagzeugset-Band 2 (2006, in german). Co-operation with Yamaha Music School Switzerland and utilisation of their drum books. Endorser of Pro Mark sticks. Drum tech for percussionist Pierre Favre and drum lessons with Walter Keiser (Goelae, Andreas Vollenweider, Gianna Nannini, uva.). Event staff for the concert agencies Good News (Pop, Rock, Shows) and All Blues (Jazz, Funk, World).

In 2004 re-establishing of my private drum school Schlagzeug plus Puls in Zurich. Working full-time as drum teacher and professional drummer/musician. Teaching drums and percussion at Allgemeine Musikschule Mutschellen and Jugendmusikschule Männedorf. Publishing of the first drum book Das komplette Schlagzeugset-Band 1 (2004, in german). Pedagogical studies at the College of Arts in Zurich with degrees as drum teacher (diploma jazz) and musician FH. Music expert at the Swiss copyright society SUISA.

1998 – 2003

Diploma at Berklee College of Music in Boston USA. Focus on performance, songwriting and arranging. Ensemble studies in jazz-, latin-, fusion-, funk- and gospel-styles. Private- and class-lessons with teachers John Ramsay, Rick Considine, Casey Scheuerell, Joe Hunt, Bob Weiner… Professionalization of technical playing abilities, precise and fast sight reading, jazz improvisation, ear training, music theory, classical percussion for orchestra, studio recordings for film and student projects.

1993 – 1997
